3811 $12,000 Great Midwest Thistle that is all white with an orange/red water line stripe. The boat is in great condition with teak rails in good shape. The hull is in great shape inside and out. The teak has a few nicks but is in great shape considering the boat is a 1988. Rather than refinishing the teak, it was left so you can add your favorite oil, epoxy, etc. The hardware is all Harken and in good working order. The boat has many extra parts including extra rudder, CB, paddles, etc. The sails are in decent shape and there are many of them. You can sail with a different set every weekend of the month, or just buy one good set. The boat has 2 masts, one that is great the other would be a great flag pole for your front yard. I am selling the boat on behalf of the Sandusky Sailing Club and the boat is in Cleveland, OH. Cleveland, OH Surge Vanderhorst

2908 3000 USD Need to sell this wonderful boat as we are relocating abroad. This is stiff boat in excellent condition. You can see the black magic blocks and the compass which is included. Spin bags. 8 coates of varathanes. Black mast and boom. Modern outhaul set'up. Mast plate is filed for mast bend. It has adjustable sidestays below the thwarts (similar to a melges). The hiking stick has the super joint that never breaks on it. The back is running a foam block instead of tanks. Bottom and top travel covers, mast up cover, c/b and rudder cover. GMW jibmasters. Jib halyard leads in front of the compass with purchase between the thwarts. Standing and running rigging is all in good order and I've got a few spares that I'll throw in the mix. Two suits of sails. One in very good condition. One practie set.

Trailer is like a wesco with the trailer built around the boat instead of the bunks being built hight above the trailer. It rides low with a wide footprint. It also has a detachable tongue if you want to slide it in a std sized garage.

127 $3,000 This boat originally came from Detroit. The previous owner passed away, I purchased the boat from the wife in hopes to do a full restoration. I have painted the hull dark blue with a white bottom, the interior and most of the pieces are sanded and ready for varnish. The mast and boom are in good condition but could be re-varnished. All the pieces are together, but the rigging and hardware does not seem to be complete. There are many bags of sails, all original or close to it (boston sail company). This is a great boat for a "back to original" restoration, it would take a bit to get racing. Lake Tahoe, California Danny Pavel

3957 $12,500 Thistle 3957 an all-white Northwest One Design (NWOD) boat that was built in Portland in ~2001. A major refit was done in 2010, including all new hardware, lines, wood refinishing, weight reduction, interior glass refinishing, and hull cleanup. The wood on the boat is mahogany and in excellent condition. The centerboard and rudder are in fantastic condition, having undergone significant refinishing in 2010. The hull is stiff and well-maintained. The boat is well rigged with high quality hardware (mostly Ronstan) and control lines and sheets. There is no compass. 3957 has had two caring owners and has not travelled much beyond Seattle. She is in bristol condition and ready to race, and has racked up an excellent record during her time in the Seattle Thistle fleet. Staymasters. 3957 comes with a decent set of used North Northwest cut sails - 1 lake season on the main, 2 on the jib and spinnaker, and the usual assortment of spares, detailed below. A trailer is not included, but molded-bunk cradle is. Black GMW mast and boom, custom powder-coated tiller, and of course lots of spare parts. Seattle, WA Doug Stumberger

3669 $6000 Description -Thistle 3669, aka 'Weatherly', is a GMW (Great Midwest) manufactured boat from 1979. She has teak woodwork. She was one of ten consecutively numbered Thistles purchased for the 'Sailing Foundation' in Port Townsend Washington. After ten years of occasional use this group of Thistles was sold to local sailors. These boats, commonly referred to locally as 'Foundation Boats', have a strong reputation among local Thistle sailors. When we purchased her in 2005 we rechristened her back to the America's Cup based name she was given by the Sailing Foundation. She has been an excellent boat and we are sad to see our Thistle program with Weatherly nearing its end.
As an oldish boat she is not perfect. The varnish, now well chipped, was last re-done in 2005/2006 but has not been maintained since. The bailers leak a bit. She shows an aesthetically imperfect repair on the aft corner where a car backed into her years ago. A minor race course collision has bruised the outside of the gunnel near the spinnaker block. Despite these imperfections she is still a solid boat. Full list of included accessories and sails at http://www.sailnut.com/for-sale/thistle

unknown free Restoration project: I rescued this boat from Northern Michigan and started to strip the fiberglass from the hull approximately 4 years ago. 495 $3000 This is a fast boat when sail worthy. It has a metal mast and a wooden boom. The boat is made of mahogany and fiberglass. The previous owner painted the interior yellow. We have tried to scrape off the paint to reveal the beautiful mahogany, but it is too big of a job for us to do with our two young kids. My husband was putting the boat on the trailer when it slipped and put a hole in the fiberglass under the front of the boat. It should be a fairly easy fix for someone with fiberglass knowledge and time. There is a set of sails as well. The sails were used only one season and have been stored gently in a dry, cool space. I can send pictures if interested. This a great boat for someone with a little bit of time and TLC. Will negotiate if interested. Becca Dressler

CB trunk for hull #1319. Looks solid, rot removed from stanchion area. It can be easily fixed. This trunk is OPEN. So that means you will need to make the "knees" of the trunk. Trunk has three coats of west system on it already. Time and money saver for a rebuild! If it does not sell it goes to the burn pile. Columbus, OH Walter Grubb
